Summer Begins

Last night around 10pm I let the dogs out and it felt like a Sana. I could not believe it. At least it was dry heat, right? :) Well, so many things have happend since I last wrote on here. Not even sure where to start. The BEST news would probably be the birth of Brittany and Josh's little boy Easton. He is so cute and I look forward to seeing him all the time.
A fews hours old :)

A few days old :)

The next big thing would have to be that I was offered a job with the School of Urban and Public Affairs at UTA. I have been there now for about 2 months and have enjoyed every mintue of it. I am the Graduate Advisor for City and Regional Planning program, Certificates and Non-degree seeking students :)

Whoo hoo.

Hm, what else...Oh yes, we are going on a cruise!!! September 1-6th and the BEST part is 2 of our very best friends are coming with us!! :)

Next stop, Carnival Triumph!!!

The Lord has been so faithful to Seth and I. As we walk through this life we want to trust in Him who knows the plans for us. We want to be sensitive to His plan and not our own. He has proven that over and over in our lives and almost 5 years of marriage that He is the only one who is consistent and faithful (not that HE ever has to "prove" anything, He is Jesus :)!!!) We have gone through so much and have grown tremendously through it all.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean
not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to Him, and He
will make our paths straight"
Proverbs 3: 5-6

I have some catching up to do...

Life takes us in so many different directions and places. I have been one busy lady but thankful for all the opportunities that are in front of me. School  has been tough, but next week is my last week until summer school! Whoo hoo. A little break will be nice. I want to passionately thank my Lord and Savior for giving me the patience and the endurance I needed the past few months. His timing is so perfect and brings me to my knees, thank you Lord for giving me the opportunity to be the new Graduate Advisor for the school of Urban and Public Affairs. I am excited about my new adventure and pray that I keep my eyes on what truly matters, that I "run with endurance the race that is set before me" and that I focus on pleasing you (Hebrews 12:1-2) This is a bittersweet move as I will miss my dear co-workers who some, have become dear friends. Thankfully I am only one bridge away from them and will continue to see and talk to them! :)

April 14th 2012 my sweet step-sister Halley and Cole got married! It was so beautiful, and to spend time with family like that is priceless. Halley and Cole are amazing parents and it brought tears to my eyes to see them become one, making a covenant between them and the Lord. So awesome!! :)
Here are some pictures of the event...

Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

We are so Blessed

My God how amazing You are. You give me strength when I am weak, patience when I am anxious, love when I am selfish, and freedom from this dark world. Seth and I are beyond blessed with friends and family. You have us in a place that is uncertain, yet we find peace in You and trust that You have already written the plans for our life. I want to lift up my grandmother right now to you (she is going to have a small procedure tomorrow) I pray that you are with the doctors and nurses, give them the ability to do what they need to and give Nanny the strength afterward to recover well. We trust you. Thank you for dieing on a cross for every sin and loving us enough to show your grace and offer salvation through Jesus!!

Some pictures of life lately...

Seth surprised me with this when I got home from Vegas!
(I have been wanting one for A LONG time, so sweet)

I don't have a picture of it, but we are so thankful for Matt and Brachele. The other night Brachele made us tacos and Mmmmm they were so good! :) We love you guys soooo much!

And Lord, I pray for Brittany and Josh as they start their little family. I pray for Easton, that You continue to give him strength inside of Brittany. I pray that You give them peace in knowing that You are in control and everything passes through Your mighty throne. Her sweet belly is getting so big (only her belly I might add) thank you for giving her such a healthy pregnancy! We can't wait to meet him!! In Your Precious name.

Vegas Trip

Well, the next event that I must update you on is my WONDERFUL trip to Las Vegas. I had such an amazing time spending time with my sister Halley, her friends, and my soon-to-be sister in-law, Lauren! I also had the chance to spend time with my Daddy a little bit :-D Here are some pics from the trip.

Here is Dad holding up his sign he made with a napkin, I understand where I get my goofiness from
and I LOVE IT!!

Me and the Sis on our way to Monte Carlo!

Our first night in Vegas, what pretty ladies!

I went to the M&M store, crazy how many different colors there are

The Chocolate fountain inside the Belagio, mmmm
Lauren was able to get us a free dessert from there, it was really good.

Walking around during the day was awesome

Seeing all the great Hotels, of course Paris was my favorite!

Lunch on the strip at Pinks, they are famous for their hot dogs...

Delicious!

The Girls at Sugars on the strip, great food.

 I will say two things about Vegas that I didn't expect: #1 the food was INCREDIBLE and #2 Vegas is very clean, physically! No trash laying around and the all the Hotels that we got to visit were extremely nice. But it was a great way for all of us to get to know each other and hang out. I am thankful that Halley has such sweet friends around her who love and care for her! :) I am excited to see everyone again at the wedding!! 6 more weeks, eek!

"O LORD, You are my God;
I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name;
For You have worked wonders,
Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness."

Show Us Christ

What a beautiful past few days it has been in Fort Worth. Yesterday Arrin, Paige and I (friends from work) went to the Library Lawn on campus and had lunch. It was awesome laying in the sun and breathing in the fresh air. I hope there are many more days like these to come!

Well back to updating... Katherine came back with me from Houston during Christmas break and we had a great time. I tried to do stuff that would be fun for her. We went to the movies, dog park, played her Wii, and went to her favorite place, On the Border! Too cute. Here are some pics from her stay!

We are being our goofy selves :)

God, thank you for the life you have given me. I am so undeserving and humbled how much you bless me. You give me peace, patience, kindness and continue to show your grace upon my life and ultimately through your Son Jesus Christ. Thank you. Amen.

What's Next...

BABIES!! :) Let me explain. My good friend Sarah had a baby boy, my dear friend Robin had a baby girl, my new, sweet friend Roslyn had a girl, and my best friend Brittany is having a boy. Wow, I can't believe I have friends that are having babies already! I am so honored and blessed. The Lord is so faithful and His timing is perfect. Below are pictures that I have taken. I have not seen Sarah since she had James, but the picture below is her VERY close to popping! :)

Beautiful Sarah and her precious belly! It's yellow because they waited to find out the sex until birth...

PRECIOUS is all I can say about Robin and Matt's bundle of joy, her sweet little face!!

BEAUTIFUL little Reagan Ann Dion... See me with her and her big sister Mya below! So sweet...

My heart fills with joy when I look through these pictures. I can't wait until Seth and I have our own little bundle of joy. hehe. One day, one day... :)

For you created my inmost being;
   you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
   your works are wonderful,
   I know that full well.

I'll have to start at the beginning

So the last time I posted on here was after Thanksgiving! WOW, I have been so busy... but no excuse, I need to get the ball rolling on this, I have a lot to catch up on. Let's start with Christmas....

I had a wonderful time visiting family over the Christmas break. I think Seth and I's time was spent wisely. We spent Christmas Eve with his Dad and had delicious cajun food. Early Christmas morning we headed to his Mom's house for Christmas Day Breakfast, nothing like home cooked bacon, eggs, pancakes, and sausage. After we opened gifts we headed to my Nanny and Grandaddy's house. Such a wonderful time seeing my cousins and aunt Beth and Tom. Especially seeing Kyle was great- he just got back from the Navy and is starting school! Way to go Kyle! :) After that we headed to the last destination: My Dad's. We had a great time seeing all the bro's and sis's, I was extra happy to see my little nephew Riley. He is soooo cute.

I was able to get a few pictures from the last day we were there. Meemee took us to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, yumm.

Being goofy waiting for a table

And again... :)

Me and Meemee, one of my best friends!

Kellie and I were packing to go and Subea (Katherine) had a grand idea "Christa can I come with you to Fort Worth? Please Please Please??" I replied, "Ask Mom" ... To be continued
